The Wedding Chapel was previously the St.
Philip’s Episcopal Church. The building dates back to 1906
when the congregation erected a frame building with a stone
foundation on land donated by the Soo Railroad Company. The
small congregation met in the beautiful church for almost 100
years.
The church was bought by the Greater
Turtle Lake Area Association to preserve the historic
building. The building is in wonderful repair and can be
heated year round. Many items from the original Church are
still intact in the chapel. It is located in a quiet
residential area of downtown Turtle Lake.
The Chapel is available for
non-denominational weddings and special events year round. It
seats up to 75 people for any special occasion. A garden with
backdrop has been added for special wedding photos.
The cost for reserving and using the
chapel is a minimum $100 donation for the entire day. You may
contact Jan Davis at 715-986-4680 or e-mail
ltarman@centurytel.net to schedule a visit or reserve the
chapel. We will also supply names of other vendors and a
justice of the peace to make your day complete.
